Certificate of conformity is a document certified by a competent authority that the supplied good or service meets a minimum set of regulatory, technical and safety requirements. (GOST, GOST R COC and GOST R IEC specifications, technical regulations, etc.). This document is also sometimes informally called as a certificate of quality, a safety certificate, a customs certificate, etc. Product certification can be either obligatory or voluntary.
